Aprašymas: The general area of Ypres. Filmed from just outside the town itself, shells falling on buildings on the outskirts. Two Mark V tanks, one Male, one Female, both carrying soldiers, move over open country. The Male carries a British soldier with a Tank Corps flag. British Whippet tanks move up a road past abandoned German shells. A British 18-pounder battery "bombarding the Hindenburg Line". A display of captured German guns, from heavy calibres to machine guns, watched over by British and Australian soldiers. British transport limbers, possibly XI Corps (note the formation sign) make their way across the battlefield.Pan over the region near Tahure, Marne area, being bombarded by French guns. In the mist soldiers, probably of II Corps, move forward in single file to capture the German forward trenches. At a command post the soldiers work wearing their gasmasks. In daylight the first lines of German prisoners are led back. Schneider CA1 tanks continue the advance. In the rear areas troops relax near a field kitchen.Men of V Corps in billets in the town of Varennes, captured 26th September. 75mm guns and transport pass through the town. A pan over Montfaucon, showing the American wire and German positions on the heights. The church has been reduced to rubble, and one of the crypts has been used by the Germans as an observation post. German prisoners are assembled and marched away. The large marching column goes past the headquarters of Fourth Army at Saint-Même, on the outskirts of Châlons, and the prisoners are made to march at attention and salute as they pass the building.
